Our History

Wyndon Motors (www.wyndonmotors.co.uk) Coventry’s longest established bodyshop, has opened a new repair centre in Shilton after 57 years at its previous Keresley home. In the last five years the independent business has grown and added Aston Martin Tier B approval to its stable of Mercedes Benz, VAG and 20 other motor manufacturers approvals – and now the highly skilled team has a future-proof, state-of-the-art new home.

OUR OLD SITE AT KERESLEY

Wyndon Motors was established in 1964 and has serviced the local community and businesses ever since. Dave Beale took over Wyndon Motors when Martin Taylor retired in 2016, but the business had soon outgrown its premises in Keresley.

When a 15,000 sq ft building became available on the same industrial estate as Dave’s other business, XK Engineering – a classic car restoration business with Aston Martin Tier A approval – he “knew it would make a perfect bodyshop to take Wyndon Motors to the next level”.

“When the building became vacant, I knew it would make a perfect bodyshop and was just what I was looking for to take Wyndon Motors into the next phase,” said Managing Director, Dave Beale. “It has ample secure customer parking, a great reception area with wait and work facilities for clients, together with office space which we were severely lacking in Keresley.”

“The workshop is an ideal shape and size too and has allowed us to work with Todd Engineering to create a state-of-the-art bodyshop,” added Dave.

The Wyndon Team is led by Operations Director Paul French, who has a long history of running large bodyshops, assisted by Office Manager Karen Sant. They work closely with their local Mercedes, VAG, Aston Martin, Stellantis (formerly PSA Group), Nissan, Mitsubishi and Mazda dealers to ensure that a regular flow of private customers supplements their work provision partners and the new premises means that they are actively seeking more workstreams from diverse parts of the industry as well as wanting to add more prestige brands to their already impressive stable.

This latest investment, alongside training, specialised tooling and equipment for repairing electric and hybrid vehicles, and maintaining ADAS-equipped vehicle tech, makes 2021 is a year of change for Wyndon Motors.
